I purchased this product and it was pretty good for the first few uses
Hello,I purchased this product and it was pretty good for the first few uses. A few months later I went to use the powder for a smoothie and it turned into this hard sticky block. It was very strange. You can see it in the photo. I ended up cutting the bag open in attempt to chop off a part of the block for my smoothie but it was too hard so I ended up throwing it out.
Thank you for your feedback

Great taste, exactly as a regular coconut water, and you can make less concentration if you want more mild taste (it is already mild btw).
Best solution to take some of the powder on the flight (I suggest put small amount inside empty water bottle and add water after you pass security or in flight). It mixes well by shaking. It is also good to take in empty bottle when you go to clubs since you can not bring any drinks with you, but nobody there sells coconut water. Being better hydrated when you drink alcohol helps prevent migraines and hangovers. Sipping coconut water helps me dance longer while not filling myself with plain water and still feel thirsty. Hope you get the idea...
My next trip I will fill small packages with it so the dosage is just right on-the-go. I wish this product came in small single use packets...

I loooove coconut water and drink it everyday. I have problems with low potassium and I am nursing a baby so I have to stay well hydrated. I hate the taste of water so for me this is really easy to drink. I was hoping to save some money by purchasing it this way and many of the reviewers who love the taste of coconut water said this tasted just like it.....um, no! It is not very good at all actually. I tried it once and it was disgusting, have not been able to bring myself to drink it again. I wish I would have liked this because it would have really saved me money but I will not be purchasing this again. :(

False advertising. One of the ingredients is "water". When I opened the package I found that it contained no water at all.

Very disappointed. Other than that it tastes very good, but a bit dry.

Overall this is a great product, no issues from the many times I have used it. There are a few things to keep in mind though.

First, the taste is not as vibrant as fresh or bottled coconut water. I took some time to mix various amounts of water to try and get a good ratio, but just can't get that same level of taste. If this is your first time with a powder version, it will taste very different.

The second issue is only applicable to people living in very hot and dry climates. Shipping this in AZ 100+ Fahrenheit weather destroys the product! Let me repeat that, it will destroy this product. Twice now with subscribe and save, this has come in from the heat and it will clump together becoming hard as a rock. Trying to dissolve it like this is a pain in the butt. When it's in powder form it dissolves very easily, but once it gets tough, it takes a ton of effort to get it mixed with water and isn't worth the hassle. Be warned if you live in a similar climate when ordering this product.

I wanted to use this as a source of potassium. It tastes fine as a powder but is very sweet. I noticed (in tiny print on the package) it contains "tapioca dextrose" a form of sugar. This was not indicated in the product information on Amazon. I try to stay away from sugar since it is a toxic substance. Moreover, tapioca dextrose can be derived from wheat. I'm gluten free. Hello? Can you please indicate more information on your packaging particularly when selling something on Amazon?

I love coconut water and thought this could be a lesser expensive alternative. This come in at $0.69 per serving which is very cheap in comparison, but you should take into consideration the amount one serving is. It says it's one tablespoon and add it to water, that could be 6oz or 24oz depending on your preference I guess. I've used as much as 24oz per 1 tablespoon! Not so much coconut flavor but I guess I'm trying to stretch it. Plus I drink more water when it doesn't taste like water. Sometimes I just want a little different flavor in my water and this is perfect because I can control it and add just a little, well really I'm adding more water. Sometimes I want a stronger flavored product, or one with more electrolytes like after a workout or in the morning, so I use around 8-10oz of water per 1 tablespoon to achieve that.

As far as flavor goes, it is not as naturally sweet as others that are not dehydrated but it does give the water that smooth texture that I'm used to with coconut water. It tastes kind of like very plain, blah coconut water although I'm liking it better now that I'm getting used to it and it doesn't seem so blah anymore.

I did not like the flavor the first time I tried it but after I sucked the glass down faster than I thought I would I decided maybe it wasn't so bad. To give you an idea of what I was used to drinking, my favorite brands of coconut water are Amy & Brian and Vitacoco (unflavored version of both brands).

I decided to give 5 stars because
1) what could I really expect from dehydrated coconut? This comes pretty darn close
2) the price is cheaper than the alternative
3) I will be buying it again
4) less waste and storage space needed

Bottom line is don't expect the same product you're used to. If you have an open mind about it you'll probably like it.

Addendum: I some other brands of powdered coconut water and almost purchased another one just to compare but then I read the ingredient label and it had sucrose in it! Who wants that?! How strange they didn't just add coconut sugar to it, anyways... Always Read The Ingredient Label!

I just noticed there is now shipping charged on this item. It used to be Prime :(

I first purchased this from wholefoods for $18 and on amazon it's $11.
Great product from Navitas ,just 2 tablespoons and add room temperature water and you have a liter of coconut water to keep in the fridge.
It tastes much better cold, but do not use cold water to mix as the powder does not mix well at this temp.
This package makes about 5 liters so very economical.

I use the coconut water for hydration and on my long runs. It's more affordable than just purchasing it in the bottle. It taste much better if you use a shaker, water, ice and mix it for a bit. However, I docked it two stars because the false advertisement due to the wrong amount of servings and price. It's a really small bag and not the 20 it states. I will try to purchase at a whole foods or another place.

I love it! I have 2 teaspoons in about 330ml water every day and it lasts about a month- I keep it in the fridge. My boys occasionally drink it after football on hot days. Tastes a bit different to bottled coconut water, but you get very used to it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not taste nice

This is nothing like the coconut waters I've tasted that are in cartons or cans. It's a little powdery and doesn't fully dissolve. You need 2 tablespoons for a glass, which works out pretty expensive. The only benefit is that it is freeze dried so possibly has more nutritional value. I normally love this brand but this product does not live up to expectations.
